"...Wang's arresting left-hand prominence and concentrated intensity are riveting, as are her fascinating conceptions of four movements from Ravel's Le tombeau de Couperin: note the spacious and flexible arcs characterising the Prélude and Menuet, for example. She brings commanding sweep, power and cohesion to all three movements of Rachmaninov's sprawling First Sonata and a genuinely orchestral approach to Liszt's Dante Sonata that maintains the music's foreground and background elements in perfect perspective. Two pieces from Aristea Mellos's Preludes Book 1 make me want to hear the entire cycle; I'm especially drawn to Prelude No 10's lilting impressionism. Most pianists would be happy to claim Wang's mastery and assurance in Beethoven's Appassionata Sonata."
